blahhhh

Exams have been killer. Believe it people. Late night cramming, late night exams, late night snacks, late night mental breakdowns (too much pressure!!!)... all part of the college life.
I have completed five of my six exams and I am feeling pretty proud of myself. This semester I really pushed myself to do the best I can and it will show in my exams. I care more about understanding the question and being able to know what I am actually talking about rather than the grade I get. Still I am not denying that a bunch of juicy A's will not be appreciated -- quite the contrary!
I think my best exam was Eng 277 - the film class. I managed to rattle off the necessary short answer questions and added two extra credit answers for the hell of it. Super Special Awesome! Well I have my Geo 104 exam to cram... but I think I deserve a bit of a break, yes?
That's what I thought.

Got the car back!

Finally finally finally got the car back! V. excited. The car looks like I never killed the face of it. :) All shiny and new... (but how much did it cost to get that face lift? Idk...)

It has nearly been a month since I have driven the Honda and it felt weird for the first few minutes, but I got the hang of it eventually. But I def. learned some lessons from that accident:
  • Don't ever park/brake so close to someone. When you park/brake behind them at the lights, make sure you can see their back tires without any obstruction. That gives you plenty of breathing room between the two cars.
  • Don't drink/eat while driving!
  • If you absolutely HAVE TO drink/eat/take notes/whatever... wait until you are at the lights and then put your car in Park. That way even if you hit the wrong pedal, your car won't go anywhere.
  • Watch the road! At all times!

I think that makes for some good suggestions...

First Snow!

Yes indeed, for us living in Southeastern Wisconsin we have had our first snow! I walked out of the campus computer lab into the Southview building and there was the snow, coming down in fat flakes. It was not so cold and as to start shivering, so it was a nice day to be able to walk during a snow fall and not have your ears bitten off by the weather, you know what I mean? Its stopped now -- at 5:30ish -- but there is a substantial amount of snow on the ground. Not enough to build a snowman, or even a head of a snowman, but enough to appreciate the beauty. More snow tomorrow perhaps? I hope so! (With me safely inside, in front of a roaring fire, watching it fall.)

The Honda is still not back from the shop! It was supposed to be usable by Tuesday but NOPE still something wrong with it. The grill got clunked on its way to Wisconsin so they have to figure out how to fix it. Any day of the week fellas... (of course I caused the accident so I shouldn't be such a nag should I? But at the same time, you said Tuesday at the latest, why should my father and I be forced to wait another week?!)

Long Day ahead

Ugh... this is going to be One of Those Days. I just finished up my Geo 104 test -- 100 questions!! -- and I was doing really well until I came until the marching part. You know, is this a or b or c or d or e? Idk, I got one out of fifteen correct for sure. But at least it was out of one hundred questions so I have some wiggle room in there. As long as I get a B on this test, which I really need, I won't be horribly upset.
A thing about these tests. The professor structures each test by asking either 25 questions, 50 questions, 75 questions, or 100 questions. So far he has asked 75 questions, than 50 questions, and now 100 questions. Which means that tonight there will be 25 questions on the final exam. *Gulp!* Me, scared?
Oh absolutely!

But there is also some bad stuff. The Honda I crashed November 11 still has not been returned to us. The guys at the repair shop said it would be returned to us on Tuesday on "the absolute latest possible date," and its looking like they will have to keep it today and tomorrow. FML. Apparently some of the parts don't fit correctly... great. Can't even do your job right? You have to extend our hold?! THANKS A LOT!!
(That last bit was sarcasm fyi...) I am so glad this family has insurance or we would be fucked, capital F.

But some good news, at the very least. A new episode of Glee will be on tonight! Its like my new favorite show and I am so excited. I'll probably miss it because of my Wednesday night class (damn) but I can always watch it on Hulu.com tomorrow. So that's good. :)
