Scholarship!
Guess who won herself a $2,000 scholarship from the Airlift Tanker Association? This little woman right here! The ATA scholarship competition was for Arnold Air Society and/or Silver Wings cadets (like me!) who wanted to prove their worth and get some money for school. We had to write on something or someone associated with the Airlift Tanker Assocation - like an airplane, a mission, a heroic act, a person... I wrote about General Duane "HE-WHO-HELPED-ME-WIN-A-SCHOLARSHIP" Cassidy, a really hardworking Air Force officer. Thanks, sir! Unfortunately I will not be able to pick up the scholarship myself. They are being handed out at Americon, this convention in New York City for AAS cadets. I don't have the money to go over there so someone else will have to accept it for me. Oh well. But I still earned a scholarship! Yay me!!
